Class 5C were #Amazing, click here or check Firefly for details

Class 5C gave an #Amazing assembly on Monday. They introduced what they enjoy the most – some of them talked about playing a musical instrument or enjoying a sport or a hobby. We learnt something about each of the children in 5C. Thanks goes to class teacher Miss Kelly O'Rourke and her pupils for the great assembly, and a special thank you goes to Stephanie for singing and Katie for playing on the chinese Gu Zheng.

ROBIN HOOD – our Year 4 production, click here or check Firefly for details

A great adaptation of Robin Hood and his Merry Men by our Year 4 pupils. We enjoyed the witty jokes, the wonderful singing and the incredible acting from our budding young actors as well as the props and costumes. Thanks goes to all the pupils for their efforts and hardwork, the Year 4 teachers and TLAs, and the team work from the Drama and Music departments!

WHAT MAKES A GREAT CLASSROOM DISPLAY? Click here or check Firefly for details

Read the blog on what makes a great classroom display and why teachers use the walls for learning. It is truly amazing to walk around the school and look at all the wonderful work that has gone on and how these displays can aid learning. Please do spend some time looking at the displays next time you’re here!

A reminder to all parents whose children use the bus service that extra Pick-up cards are available by contacting bus@nais.hk. If you want to change the arrangements for your child getting the bus on a particular day, like a play date, and you wish your child to be collected by another parent, then please simply let us know at school and we are happy to amend the bus registers to reflect that.

Thank you to parents for supporting the move to collect Years 4-6 from classrooms. It has been great to see so many conversations going on between teachers and parents at the classroom door at the end of the day! As more parents are coming into the school we have asked our security guards to check Pick-up cards so that all visitors are legitimately identified as entering to collect a child. If you do happen to forget your card it’s a simple process of going to reception to confirm who you are. Extra cards for your family are available by contacting bus@nais.hk

As we near the end of Term 2, please can you send in your cheques (payable to ‘Pure Orchestral Centre’ addressed to Head of Music Miss Naomi Rowan) for the next round of instrumental lessons by Wednesday 16 March. Mr. Ringo Chan will deal directly with timetabling, and timetables will be sent to parents during the first week back. Lessons will start in Week 2. Please note that unless notice has already been given, as per the terms of the contract, your child is already signed up for Term 3. If you are interested in signing up for lessons next term, please email Miss Rowan (Naomi.Rowan@nais.hk) and she will send you the details. We currently have at least one space for each instrument.

Have a wonderful weekend and wrap up warm!
