Hello everyone and welcome to Global Campus Weekly updates!

Each week you will be able to see what we are getting up to on Global Campus as well as a highlight from this academic year.

We have had a wonderful year for Global Campus enthusiasm and engagement with 100 % of all the children in the school in some way using Global Campus. This may be the children in EYFS and KS1 using GC Junior to access a wide variety of texts and learning opportunities or all the way at the other end of the school where children have been using GC Senior to think about their future careers and university applications.

Our big achievement was winning ‘Best Use of Global Campus’ out of all 73 schools in the Nord Anglia Global Family. So proud of all the children for helping the school win the title.

2021 Global Award Best Use of Global Campus

This week the children at NAIS Manila have been drawing Aqua Luna boats and learning more about them.

The Aqua Luna, known in Cantonese as the Cheung Po Tsai (張保仔), is a Chinese Junk operating in Victoria Harbor, Hong Kong. It was launched in 2006, and while it is named the Aqua Luna in English, in Cantonese it is named after the 19th-century Chinese pirate Cheung Po Tsai.

This is a boat with a rich history and the challenge is to have a go at drawing one for yourself.

Here are some that we have already submitted. Add yours to the fleet!

  • Rinna's Aqua Luna Boat
  • Chesca's Aqua Luna Boat
  • Abhiroo's Aqua Luna Boat
  • Aqua Luna on GC

A truly oar-some challenge!

Check this feed each week to see more of what is going on with Global Campus at NAIS Manila!
