Tuesday February 2nd - Transitions Workshop
Have you recently moved to Singapore? Or, have you just found out you are leaving? Are you concerned about how you and your children will adjust to your new life? Has your children’s behavior changed since you arrived?
If you answered yes to any of these questions then the DCA and Vivienne Scott, DCIS Educational Psychologist, would like to invite you to attend a Transitions Workshop on Tuesday February 2nd at 8.30am.
This workshop will focus on:
- Relocating and the impact of transition
- Parents’ own support needs and capacity to respond to their children
- How children’s behaviour should be recognised as a means of communication
- The importance of structure and routine
- Parents role modelling positive skills
This will be an interactive workshop with activities and provocations to facilitate group conversations and networking.

Saturday February 20th – Family Outdoor Movie Night from 5pm
The DCA is hosting its very own outdoor movie night on Saturday February 20th. Do come along and join us. A family ticket costs $15 and the film shown will be the one most voted for by you!
Enjoy your own picnic or pre-order fish & chips or a picnic hamper, soft drinks will also be on sale and each movie goer will be entitled to free popcorn!
The movie will be shown on the hard court so bring something to sit on – alternatively hire a comfy beanbag for the evening!

Sunday February 21st – DCA & British Club golf day
The DCA has got together with the British Club of Singapore to offer this golf day to Horizon Hills, Malaysia. Departure time will be approximately 10am, the price is $170 and includes transport, fees and food.
