The U16 Girls Football team played their final match of the season on Monday evening. Playing against St Joseph’s International School, the girls were determined to retain their title of this year's runners-up. A win or a draw would have seen the girls finishing second place.

The great goal came from Nicoli in the first half, chipping the goalkeeper and hitting the back of the net. One up, the girls were determined to get in another. Great work from Kyuri who carried the ball up the pitch on numerous occasions, Anju also having a great game dropping to a defensive midfield position.

St Joseph’s scored a goal in the second half leaving the final score 1-1. A draw was all the girls needed to secure their place. Well done Lionesses, you have shown strength and determination this season and I am so proud of what you have achieved.

Roar Lionesses!
