Global Campus Worldwide Expeditions: Getting Ready for Take Off!

04 April 2017

Three exciting Global Campus Worldwide Expeditions departing in Term 3 to MIT (Boston), Les Martinets (Switzerland) and UN Headquarters (New York)

  • MIT – Nord Anglia Education STEAM Science Fair in Boston 2017
  • Training for Les Martinets, Switzerland 2017
  • UNICEF Trip 2017

The past month has been very busy preparing for the upcoming Global Campus Worldwide Expeditions – we have three exciting trips departing in Term 3 this academic year.

Final plans are underway for the visit to the MIT – Nord Anglia Education STEAM Science Fair in Boston. The four students selected from Year 6 and 7 are hugely excited for their upcoming departure at the end of this month!

Secondary students from Year 8 and 9 – who will be taking part in the Alpine Adventure this June to Les Martinets, Switzerland – have begun their training this week. This involved running up and down 40 flights of stairs at a local HDB estate first thing on a Monday morning! Good luck to them for the rest of their training programme which will continue after the end of term break.

The selection of the DCIS Ambassadors for the prestigious trip to the United Nations in New York this summer has now also taken place. The two students from Year 10 (Indira and Sameeshka) who were selected are extremely passionate about Global Citizenship and have worked very hard to organise the DCIS Global Challenge this year as part of their trip application process. They are looking forward to meeting with 86 other Nord Anglia Education students from across the world to discuss sustainable development and how young people can lead the way to create sustainable solutions.
