Exciting final day and end to an incredible trip

On the final day Group B completed their hike, all students successfully made it to the hut (and back!) and cooked their own dinner. The scenery was spectacular and the weather was perfect! It was an incredible and inspiring challenge for all students.

Group A spent their final full day at Glacier 3000 - one of the highlights of the trip. We took a cable car through the clouds and into the mountains. Stunning scenery welcomed us and we snow-shoed across the glacier to a mountain café! The group had to display perseverance and a ‘can-do’ attitude to complete the walk successfully.

We all returned to the camp to catch up with each other and say our ‘goodbyes’. There were no tears but excitement that one day everyone will meet again. Discussion turned to future trips within the community of schools and possible returns to Switzerland for further Alpine challenges!

We are now back in Singapore. We look forward to reflecting on the trip in a future assembly (which we will update you on!).

As the trip leader, I wanted to pass on my thanks to all the students for their excellent attitude and commitment. I am very proud of each of them for meeting the challenges set. I also wanted to pass on my thanks to the Nord Anglia team in Switzerland. We were well looked after throughout and gained valuable experience from the mountain leaders and other professionals running the trip.
