As part of a project for the Dover Community Centre, the Telok Blangah Community Arts and Culture Club developed a collaboration with DCIS to work on a Façade Art Project.

The project was a large scale canvas painting installation to be hung on the parapet walls of Blk 1 Dover Road. This project saw the participation of dozens of students and community members on the DCIS campus, painting the large canvases to be hung on the façade.

The white canvases measured around 20 metres by 2 metres each and had black outlines already printed on them. The students then filled in the colours for the artwork, with all paints, brushes, protective sheets and other logistical materials provided by the Telok Blangah Community Arts and Culture Club.

Teachers, students and parents were involved as everyone gained hands-on experience on how colours can be mixed and painted to create beautiful artwork. It was also an excellent opportunity for students to work with and get to know some of the residents in Dover Estate.
