The Primary Student Council held their third meeting on Thursday, our Year 6 students had their Secondary Transition Day and were therefore absent. Mr. Short was invited to the meeting and talked to the students about what a great student council looks like. Mr. Short and the students agreed that the Student Council will act as a bridge between the student body and the school management. They will continue to work towards making things better around the school, looking at both broader ideas as well as the small but important things. They will also assist with decision making, such as being on the panel for House events. The students were very enthusiastic and came up with many new ideas.
The Student Council will introduce themselves and their very important Suggestion Jar, in which all students at DCIS are welcome to put in their suggestions relevant for student life, at next week’s assembly.
