The perfect day to update you on The World’s Largest Lesson.
Today is Conflict Resolution Day, a global event intended to promote the concept of peaceful conflict resolution. Created in 2005 by the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR), it is now an annual celebration, and offers the perfect opportunity to share the results from our #GlobalGoals school survey.
The ‘World’s Largest Lesson’ is a global educational project to support United Nations’ Global Goals for Sustainable Development’ programme.
On the 28th September 2015 BIS HCMC joined the collaborative project, and for a week, our students were exposed to activities and discussions surrounding the 17 Global Goals.
‘The Global Goals’ are universal, and are endorsed by world leaders who want to achieve three extraordinary outcomes in the next 15 years – end extreme poverty, fight inequality & injustice and fix climate change. Dubbed Generation 2030, our students have a vested interest in seeing these goals come to fruition.
This massively successful project offered a crucial opportunity for our students to think as Global Citizens provoking a great deal of relevant thought and debate.
