Masters of Learning - Care and Integrity

16 October 2015

Celebrating Care and Integrity at the TX Campus

This term at TX, we have been focusing on two elements of the 'aide memoire' - care and integrity, and in assembly this morning, we presented special badges to the child in each class who has consistently demonstrated these attributes over the last 8 weeks.

It is important that the children understand what we mean by terms like 'care' and 'integrity', and so in each Milepost Diary, there is a place for the children to remember what each word in the 'aide memoire' means, and to collect stickers when the show a given attribute in class.  For example, if a child is stuck on a piece of work, and the keeps trying and eventually finds a way to successfully complete the task, they would be given a 'Percy Perseverance' sticker to be placed in their diary.

During this week, teachers selected one child to receive a 'Katy the Caring Dolphin' badge and one child to receive a 'Douglas the Dog with Integrity' badge.  Parents were secretly contacted and invited to come to the assembly this morning to see their children receive their badge and their Masters of Learning certificate.  I hope the children will now wear their badges with pride; an example to the others of care and integrity at TX.
