Match report for U11 girls V's BVIS - 28th October

30 October 2015

In preparation for the Soccer Sevens in Phuket, our U11 BIS Girls Football Team took on BVIS and won!

BIS started the game brilliantly with Olivia having a shot at goal which she didn't quite connect with firmly enough, however the shot rebounded off the BVIS goalkeeper where Brook ran on to the ball and placed it perfectly in to the goal. Soon in to the game BVIS stepped up a gear and showed strong attacking play, pressurising BIS, forcing them to hold their defensive positions. Anna Sofia, Minami, Man Nghi and Amy worked well ensuring the ball was not going in to our goal!

BIS managed to clear the ball from the defensive half, Olivia finding the pass to Brook for her to have a strike at goal, she unfortunately just missed, nevertheless Halima was in a great position to run on to the ball, shoot firmly and accurately in to the goal making the score 0-2 to BIS.

The following goal was scored again by Halima assisted beautifully by Malena as she passed the ball in to the box to her. There were numerous occasions where BVIS broke free and ran down the middle and width of the pitch, delivering the ball into their striker who had an effective shot on goal. Thankfully our goalkeeper Luxe moved confidently toward the ball and blocked the shot, preventing BVIS from scoring.

Our final, successful attempt on goal involved Hannah assisting a wonderful pass to Halima where she shot powerfully at goal causing it to deflect off the BVIS defender and in to their own goal making the score 0-4 to BIS.

Everyone played extremely well and I am proud of your attitude and performance throughout the game.
