TIP Off for the U19 Girls

23 November 2015

The U19 senior girl’s basketball season has tipped off!

Our first fixture was an away match against the current champions TIS.

It was always going to be a difficult first match for a number of reasons. This year the senior squad has a lot of new talented individual players but we haven’t played competitively together as team. After a nervous start we started to find our range and put some points on the board. Lhasa Pereyra playing as ball carrier top scored with 10 points, over half of the team total and our other Year 10 player, Penny Peryer was awarded coaches player of the match in her first senior game.

The game finished 33-18 to TIS. Lots of positives have been taken from the game and we have identified a number of points to focus on in training. Well done to all the girls who played. Finally a special mention to Nhi Trinh who has been selected as senior girls basketball captain.
