Last week, children from the Nhat Hong Centre for the Visually Impaired came to visit our school as part of Books for the Blind Club.
The centre was presented with a new computer bought by the PTG and the children were also given the books that had been created by the club members. These included music, audio and picture books. After spending some time reading the books, we taught the children how to play noughts and crosses (Tic, Tac Toe) and then played a few matches with them. Following this, a solo singing performance was given by one of the students from the Centre, encouraging us to all join in with the singing of some Christmas tunes.
The children also enjoyed a fun game of pass the parcel which ended with them all winning a variety of candy. The day ended with a friendly Tug of war competition. This was a fun experience for both the children from the centre as well as members of the club!
