Inter-House Sports: Results

09 December 2015

On Wednesday 2 December, 900 excited students and staff descended on Thong Nhat Stadium for our annual Inter House Athletics Day.

Students representing Hanoi, Saigon, Dalat and Hue demonstrated tremendous effort, determination and skill across all of the events and throughout the course of the day.

The Athletics competition featured 100% participation from all members of the school, many of those performing in an area that they enjoy and excel in giving them the opportunity to thrive in a competitive environment. Some students were also taken out of their comfort zone and asked to fully participate in an area of school life which they may find difficult. These students pushed themselves to the limit and in some cases surprised themselves and surpassed expectations.

A plethora of personal bests and school records were broken in what proved to be one of the most closely contested Athletics days ever! A total of nearly 50,000 points were attained accumulatively by all students, with the points difference between 1st and 4th place just over 800 points and the winning margin just over 150 points for 1st to 2nd place. The winning team will be announced during the whole school assembly on the final day of the term.

A special mention should go to some of the record breakers for the day:

Vincent Kwok - Senior Boys 100m 11.89s

Nicola Phamova - Senior Girls 100m 13.87s

Anne-Linh Guettier De Percin - Junior Girls High Jump 1,38m

Gabby Cullen - Senior Girls High Jump 1.51m
