AP1 Success at Phuket 7's Football Tournament

10 February 2015

On 6

November we headed to Phuket with three teams to take part in the Phuket 7’s Football Tournament. There were over 1350 pupils from 35 different international schools across Asia, making the standard exceptionally high.

All the pupils played exceptionally well throughout the tournament, demonstrating a high level of skill, determination, drive and sportsmanship.

The U9 boys finished third overall, beating some strong opposition. The U11 boys finished mid table and had a very successful second day. The U11 girls narrowly missed out on a top three finish, coming fourth overall and even beat the overall winners the previous day! Gemma Handscombe received Player of the Tournament out of all the U11 girls.

Congratulations to all pupils, it was an exceptional few days with great football being played and fun had by all.
