International Week An Phu Primary 11 February 2015 'Nobody can discover the world for somebody else. Only when we discover it for ourselves does it become common ground and a common bond and we cease to be alone.’ Wendell Berry. This quote somewhat epitomises International Week at AP1 and reinforces the very strong message of Global Citizens Learning Together that resonates across our Group of Schools. Being an international student at BIS means creating an awareness, respect and empathy for all countries and cultures across our very diverse globe whilst at the same time, educating our children to take learning into their own hands thus making it both relevant and differentiated. International Week at An Phu Primary was packed full of activities and enjoyable learning. The classrooms were all transformed into different countries, with each class hosting activities special to that country for visiting classes, the gym became a Global Cafe run by the PTG full of delicious cuisines from around the world, and there was an amazing Parade of Nations to finish a spectacular week. Well done to everyone involved and thank you! Mr Simon Higham, Head Teacher at An Phu Primary.
