An Phu Primary FOBISIA Maths in Shanghai

27 March 2015

On Thursday 5

March, Ly, Jenny, Joseph and Phan Ha left the searing heat of Ho Chi Minh for the near freezing temperatures in Shanghai. Yet frostbite wasn’t their only concern, as 128 other elite mathematicians lay in wait, along with several hundred of the toughest questions known to a Year Six child. However none of this failed to wipe the ever present smiles from our team, who earned consistent praise for the way they collaborated during the competition.

From the opening Maths Trail to the closing construction task, they tried their very best, and were notable for their determination to enjoy themselves, long after fatigue and cold had dampened the spirits of their rivals. The trophy may gather dust in the cupboard of another school, but their memories will live forever. A special well done to Joseph for being in the team that won the Maths Trail!
