We are very pleased to celebrate the success of our recent drop in workshop to help parents access and understand their child’s on-line learning journey.
In EYFS we use Blogger to create a personal journey of each child’s achievements and experiences both at school as well as home. The very online nature of the blog means that contributions can be easily added by both teachers and parents whilst being completely secure. The blog is only accessible to people that have been invited to view it. It is also possible to invite family members to view their child's individual blog and it is lovely to be able to share your child’s achievements with your family around the world.
The blogs continue all the way through EYFS, both growing and developing all the way up to F3. At the end of F3, the blogs are electronically transformed to create a wonderful document showing your child’s achievements and successes throughout the Foundation Stage. This document will have formed a very important tool to your child’s teachers throughout EYFS as it is these very observations that help to plan your child’s ‘next steps’ in learning. The learning journey acts as a continuous form of assessment ensuring that your child’s individual needs are recognised and planned for. This provides a personal learning experience that is meaningful to them as an individual.
It was wonderful to see so many people wanting to play an active part in their children’s learning, creating stronger experiences for our children. Thank you for your continued support.
