Mental Toughness

Mental Toughness! What is it? Do we need it? Have we got it? How do we build it?

British international School , HCMC

AP2 Auditorium

Thursday 17thSeptember 2015

6.00pm -7.30pm

Whilst not all situations require Mental Toughness, it has been shown to predict higher levels of:

  • Resilience & Hardiness

  • Positive Behaviours

  • Academic & Work Performance

  • Career Aspirations & Employability

  • Well-being & Flourishing

We are delighted to welcome Organisational Coach Clive Leach for this exciting workshop presentation that will help you as parents to understand what mental toughness is, how it can be measured and most importantly how it can be built in both adults and young people.

Clive Leach is an organisational coach & facilitator and a graduate of the Master of Organisational Coaching Program at the University of Sydney. He is a certified Mental Toughness MTQ48 Practitioner.  He is also an education professional and a former Head of Community Education Services in the UK.

Clive will be working with our Year 12 and Year 13 students on the 16th -17th September to help equip them with tools and approaches to meet the demands they face as IB students and in the years ahead. We recognise the crucial role you as parents play in supporting your sons and daughters and so have asked Clive to design a workshop specifically for you as parents of our IB students.

Clive will share the latest research and education-based approaches to enhancing well-being and engagement. He will give you some great practical ideas, interventions and tools that he has applied through his design and delivery of Positive Education programmes in schools in Australia, SE Asia and China. The presentation will be both interactive and informative .Clive’s aim is to help you and your family to perform at your best.

All parents of Sixth Form students will receive an invitation and request to respond via CHQ.

We look forward to seeing you there.
