Community Service Term 1 Hummingbird Award Winner

13 January 2016

A big CONGRATULATIONS goes to Victoria in Y6S, the winner of the Hummingbird Medal Award for Term 1.

The Hummingbird Medal Award represents the outstanding achievements of children for their services to the Community, and Victoria earned the award because she showed incredible care and enthusiasm in Community Football Club with Binh Anh School last term.

Victoria said she enjoyed her club because she got to play football with new people and got to practise communicating in Vietnamese.  She truly embodies the Community Service spirit here at BIS, with her sense of adventure, her ability to take charge, and her interest in the community.  Way to go, Victoria!

We would also like to applaud all the students who were recognised by their teachers and club leaders for excellence in Community Service in Term 1:
