During International Week we will have welcomed over 400 children into the LS and EAL World Rooms for activities and stories from other countries.
We would like to say a huge thank you to the parents who came to read for us. We really enjoyed listening, and finding out more directly about your countries. We also know how proud your children were to hear you reading a story to a large group of children. It was also exciting for children to hear, and translate, stories in their own languages for their friends. Thank you!
The art activities were selected from different continents. We made North American Totem Poles; Lunar New Year dragons (Vietnam and China); Aboriginal painting (Australia); Mandela patterns (India); Pojagi patterns (Korea); Kente patterns (Ghana); Koru patterns (New Zealand) and of course a world of country flags!
A big thank you to the following who came and read stories to us.
Chloe’s dad, Sergio's mum. Hannah’s dad, Demi and Shauna’s dad, Ryan’s grandma, Isaac and Ben’s mum, Louis and Chloe’s mum, Man Nghi and Khanh Linh’s mum!

In the Multi- Purpose room Year 3 - 6 children had the opportunity to take part in a range of fun activities and games while learning about their world. It was also an oppotunity to chill out and take some time away from busy classrooms and the various events going on. Check out some of the photos below showing the range of activities on offer.
