Young Musician of the Year Semi-Final 2016

14 October 2016

On Thursday 13th October, 14 talented young musicians from Tu Xuong Campus battled it out for just 4 places in the final of this year’s BIS & BVIS Young Musician of the Year competition.

The standard was, as always, incredibly high and it was clear a lot of work and practice had gone on. The judges (Mr Ian, Ms Jules and Ms Hayley) had a very hard job deciding who to put forward to the final to represent Tu Xuong and were hugely impressed by all performers.

This year we had a range of instruments with piano, violin, cello, flute, trumpet and guitar, playing a range of music. A huge well done to all our semi-finalists – Dolly, Sushi, Browny, Mei, Tadala, Katie, Pucca, Ye Jun, Naomi, Minh Anh, Yun Seo, Johnny, Pauline and Yui.

The judges wanted to put you all through to the final but could only select 4 finalists so special congratulations go to our 4 Tu Xuong finalists: Dolly (3T, piano), Sushi (3X, piano), Johnny (6T, guitar) and Katie (5X, Cello).
