Some of our year 10 Vietnamese students were taken to the Southern women’s museum this morning for a rare opportunity. Although the trip was short, they really enjoyed the experience and had a wonderful learning attitude during the trip.
Students had a good opportunity to hear, watch and see thousands of rare photos and artefacts of Southern Vietnamese women’s contribution to the foundation and defence of South Vietnam.
The trip has been designed to link with some Literature pieces of work and history points that they have been learning such as a poet “ Bánh Trôi Nước” by Hồ Xuân Hương or “ Phong trào Đồng Khởi” in Ben Tre province.
“The trip was interesting and fascinating. I have learnt about many new facts about women in Vietnam and how it influenced us today.”- Hang Bui, Student
“I was very eager to learn about the things women contributed to build and make Vietnam what it is now, overall it was very emotional.”- Anna Le Nguyen, Student
“The trip has been influential because I have learnt more about communism and the women in the war”. - Jenny Bui, Student
