Yes, this conversation just shows how engaged parents have been since the beginning of the academic year and it’s not over. So please, take a deep breath and a look at your agenda to book the following dates.
Community visit updates
Unfortunately we had to cancel the visit to Mai Am and Thien Phuoc. We will let you know when we can reschedule.
International week: getting ready….one more week to go!
Parents have been busy this week with a special morning coffee and quite a lot of rehearsals, from singing to dancing. The parent choir will meet again next week, there’s still time to join. Please contact Ms Duyen, Emily’s mother if you are interested in joining.
Next Wednesday, there will be another morning coffee for preparation and Mr Ian will introduce us to the Poppy and the story behind it.
On Friday 11th November, the school will see a massive invasion of parents as it will be time to set up the International Week display boards.
Whole school coffee and cake morning for cancer awareness
International week has not passed yet but we already have to think of what’s coming next! So please keep November 25th on your agendas.
What: Bake sale to raise funds and awareness against cancer
Date: Friday 25th November
Location: An Phu Primary campus (TX staff room for TX staff only)
How can I support this event?
- you can bake and donate cakes, cookies and sweet treats which will be sold during the event
- you can volunteer to help decorate the room and/or run a stall
- you can come on the day to An Phu Primary campus, meet new parents, have a nice chat and buy cakes.
As suggested by Sylvie, we’ll organise a “baking together” session the day before the event. More details will be sent through the whatsapp group.
During the event Jay (an An Phu Secondary, APS, Mother) will tell us more about the “Cancer Ward” after school activity at APS.
NguyenTuan Manh, a young talented pianist will also join the event and support the cause. You may know the artist as he has played on national television. He started to play piano at the age of 8, in 2011 he received a full scholarship from Illinois State University in the USA, has performed in Norway, Sweden and USA. He is a resident of the Ho Chi Minh City conservatory.
Our next parent lunch will take place on Wednesday 30th November at Di Mai. Please find all details and the registration form by clicking on the link.
Have a fantastic weekend (virus free this time ;) ) and see you next week for the final countdown before one of the most liked school celebrations.
Anne on behalf of the parent group.
