Student Council Cross Campus Meeting

13 December 2016

A recount of the annual Student Council Cross Campus Meeting reflecting on the success of the day.

  • Student Council Cross Campus Meeting (1)

On Monday the 5th of December, we hosted the annual Cross-Campus Student Council meeting. It was a valuable opportunity for the Student Councils from British Vietnamese International School (BVIS), Tu Xuong Campus (TX) and An Phu Primary (APP) to meet each other, discuss ideas and best practices.

We started with a game of ‘Human Bingo’ which helped break the ice and allowed us to get to know each other. Then came the serious stuff! Each Student Council made a presentation about their best practises in their campus in a bid to get the schools to ‘magpie’ good ideas from each other.

BVIS and TX shared their ideas regarding playground equipment and also interesting snack/lunch ideas like healthy jellies/ice creams and tacos! In turn, we shared with them some of our ideas and activities at APP such as the Guards and Cleaners day, the Friendship Bench, the Canteen posters, recycling and the Health day which takes place next term. Furthermore, we also took part in team building challenges, had a joint-lunch, discussed common issues and finally took them on a tour of the APP Campus.

Overall the meeting helped us get to know our counterparts in TX and BVIS and strengthened the bonds between the three campuses and has given us some amazing ideas to work with!
