Job Opportunity - Counsellor (Primary)

The school has a vacancy which may suit some of our parents. The post will be based at the An Phu Primary Campus.

We require an experienced and qualified counsellor to join our existing counsellor to provide support services to our diverse community of students.

The successful applicant will work mainly with students aged 4 – 12 across our 2 primary campuses.  The school needs short-term and long term support for a range of needs, from day-to-day drop-in counselling to longer-term intervention with students and their families.  There will also be a requirement to advise and support teachers in their work with children. The counsellor would also be available to teachers at our primary campuses should the need arise. The successful candidate would also work, where needed with the secondary school counsellor.                              

Candidates should be fluent English speakers and hold a recognised qualification in Counselling.  Experience of working in a school context with children is desirable, as is an awareness of the challenges facing internationally mobile children and those working in multicultural environments.

 Initially this is a part-time post of 2 days per week but there is scope for this to grow in the next academic year.
