Community Project with Giong On To School

26 February 2016

On Thursday morning, as part of their Community project this year, the Year 3’s took part in a cultural fair with students from Giong On To Government School.

The morning kicked off with some amazing performances by Giong On To students who graced us with their singing and dancing skills. BIS students were welcomed by the teachers and the Headmistress of the school who worked very hard in making this a special morning.

After the performances, students worked their way around the five stations that involved a variety of Vietnamese traditional activities such as:

Today’s visit reminds us of the differences in culture, language and education systems. Students learnt to overcome these differences and develop confidence, responsibility and respect for others. Most importantly the students had a lot of fun!

Year 3 are looking forward to hosting Giong On To’s visit to BIS next Thursday (3rd March).

A big thank you to Giong On To teachers for making it such a special morning!
