TX Y4 Trip to Long Hai

10 March 2016

Year 4 had a wonderful few days in Long Hai this week. For many children it was the first time they’d spent a couple of nights away from home without their family so there was a mixture of excitement and nerves as we got on the bus and waved goodbye to our parents.

Over the next couple of days, the children were kept busy with a range of fun activities varying from beach art to a marble run challenge. Of course, plenty of time was spent cooling off in the water either at the beach or in one of the hotel’s refreshing pools. The evenings were reserved for more relaxed activities; songs and marshmallow roasting around the bonfire and a film night. By Tuesday evening everyone was understandably rather tired and the corridors fell silent almost immediately after ‘lights out’ (much to the teachers' relief!)

The children were fantastic ambassadors to BIS during their time away. Not only with their good behaviour and manners, but also showing us how well they could work and play together, be caring towards others in the group and show initiative and perseverance when facing challenges.
