29 April 2016

Save the dates

Dear Parents,

We have  two special gatherings coming up. One is a farewell as four of us are about to leave Vietnam and it will be time to say goodbye and wish them a happy journey.  The date will be confirmed next week in the TX WhatsApp parent group, but please keep May 12th or 13th as options.

The second one will be the opportunity to know more about Vietnam on Tuesday, May 17th, 8 to 10am in the Multipurpose Room. Our Vietnamese parents are preparing  a fantastic morning . You’ll be able to practise the language, discover more about the country, learn how to make Banh Chuoi Hap and traditional Vietnamese coffee. Dress code: Ao Dai!!!

What’s on?

If you are staying in Saigon this weekend, don’t miss the fireworks. They will be set off in four venues to celebrate the 41st anniversary of the liberation of South Vietnam and national reunification (April 30th). The shows are scheduled at 9-9:30pm on April 30th at the roof of Saigon river tunnel in district 2, Dam Sen cultural park in district 11 and Cu Chi and Can Gio districts. You can enjoy the show from many rooftops in the city and avoid the busy streets.

As part of the celebrations, a photo exhibition has been open since April 25th along Nguyen Hue and Dong Khoi streets and Labour Culture Palace in District 1.
