Year 6 Transition Day

20 May 2016

Year 6 were filled with excitement (and a few nerves) as they set out on Wednesday morning for their transition day at AP2.

On arrival, they were greeted by a few familiar faces, as the Year 7 students put them in groups for their day’s activities.

They spent the day getting used to the school, climbing LOTS of stairs and taking part in some taster lessons including drama, music and science!

After a rather wet and rainy lunch, where the Year 7s had prepared some activities as part of their Earth week, the children made their way up the 6 flights of stairs to the auditorium. Here they had a bit of time to write down some of their reflections on the day and then had a presentation from the Year 9s, who they will be working with over the coming weeks on a special science project!

All in all, everyone made some new friends, put aside a few of those worries and fears and got a good feel of what their new school will be like next year. Not too scary – they hope!!
