Table Tennis Tournament

10 June 2016

On Thursday this week, 7 of our students went to SIS, Singapore International School, to attend the U11 SISAC Table tennis Championship Tournament.

There were 3 schools participating in the event. BIS, SIS and BVIS. Even though, there were only 3 teams in the tournament, it didn’t make it less interesting and competitive.

All schools brought all their best table tennis players to the games and most of them had advanced their skills in table tennis, so the standard of the tournament was high. It was my pleasure to see all the spinning serves, strong smashes, fast hits as well as effective pushes and blocks during the match.

In spite of the differences of the table size and the pressure from very good players from other schools, our BIS team came in the second place of the tournament by losing by only 5 points to SIS, the eventual overall champions.

To make it to this level, I am sure that our students have been practising table tennis really hard not only during club time at school but also in their spare time at home. So great work everyone, I am so proud of you and you should be very proud of your hard work and perseverance.
