Tu Xuong Canteen Menu Review

10 June 2016

Last week a team of parents, Ms Ellie, Ms Jules and Ms Mary together with Ms Jenny and Mr Michael from “Tuck Shop”, our canteen providers, set about to review the lunch menu ready for Term 1, 2016.  Following a valuable and positive discussion with recipe suggestions, preparation recommendations and next steps for change, the “Tuck Shop” team left charged with the task of planning our new menu to tantalise the students taste buds!

Continuing the process, earlier this week the parents met again, but this time were joined by five students from our student council, to taste test seven of the new dishes suggested by parents.  Each taste tester was asked to vote with a red, yellow or green card showing their views on whether the children would like the dish or not.  Votes were counted and the majority liked all dishes with the pasta carbonara and the pork and eggplant being the two favourite options.  Throughout the event, Ms Jenny collected further suggestions from the parents and students regarding the taste of each dish to ensure the highest quality is maintained through the change in the menu.

We wait excitedly to reveal the new menu options on offer to us at lunchtimes next academic year!  The current menu is available here and the new menu will become available at the beginning of next term.
