The clock is ticking and the countdown to the end of this academic year has started! But before putting an end to 2015/16, we still have work and fun times ahead:
- June 15th: 8am, in the canteen with Ms Mary to plan next year events
- June 16th: 11.30am to 1.30pm YEAR END POTLUCK (please fill the form in the lobby with the food you’ll bring on that day)
For both events, we are looking forward to see you.
Last Saturday night, Y6, their parents and TX teachers had a blast at the "graduation party". Games, speeches, performances by the children, and dinner were on the program. BIS is a big community and this event once again proved it as we had the support from AP2 students Mylan and Igor Vogels, who were our DJ’s for the night. Please read below what Florence, who led the project to a successful evening, has to say. To conclude the Y6 party, Ms Jules and Ms Kirstine kindly accepted to post the poem they wrote for the students.
Have a lovely weekend,
See you all next next.
Anne on behalf of the parent group.
The question box: Would you rather kiss a pig or an elephant?
The question box had quite a success and we now have tons of questions to ask during the Potluck. If you didn’t have time to write the question you really really want to ask someone in the community, you have until Monday ;). Remember, the question box is an echo of Mr Steve and his team and their fantastic video about TX community: http://txls2015-2016.blogspot.com/2016/05/the-tx-community-video-questionnaire.html
Leavers Lunch at Ocean Palace
Another good lunch with great company and good food. "Floral" was the theme this time and we have seen beautiful outfits matching it. We all already agreed that "TXexes" will always be welcomed and informed about the our gatherings. Thank you Lan for the delicious fruits and Linh for the delicious cake. Kindness is definitely strong in our community.
Y6 graduation party, a thank you from Florence
Dear teachers, parents and pupils,
Thank you for coming to BIS TX Year 6 graduation party at the Sofitel Saigon on 4th June.
It was a great party, the venue looked awesome and everything ran smoothly along with the performances and disco! All of us had a wonderful time.
I would like to say thank you to all the parents who were involved in organizing and sponsoring this event, it wouldn’t have been possible without their assistance in helping prepare ahead of time and working during the event itself.
I would like to extend my gratitude as well to our MC, Mr Prakash and DJs Igor & Mylan. This event would not have been a success without your involvement.
Thank you for all your support, without all of you none of this would have been possible.
Ms Jules and Ms Kirstine ’s poem to Y6s
Standing here before you,
The year has flown right by.
So many lovely memories
But it’s time to say goodbye.
We’ve written a little poem,
To tell you how we feel.
So let’s hurry up and say it quick,
So we can have our meal.
So many talents among you,
What a creative little crew.
But we’re only here till 9 o’clock,
So here are just a few.
Gally is an artist,
Hieu bounds round like a kite.
Duc and Tom’s banana song
was a definite delight!
Then there was The Lion King,
A spectacle to see.
Can you feel the love tonight…
Surbin and JB?
A tale of Simba’s rise to king,
With Zazu by his side.
Though Mufasa was trampled by Wildebeest,
Don’t worry… Khoa’s still alive!!
And then there’s all the sporting gold,
Huge challenges and feats.
Andrew’s swimming… he’s like a shark,
And definitely hard to beat.
With all these wonderful talents,
It’s time you get up and show them.
Minh Quan could sing us a little song…
Like ‘Let it go’ from Frozen!
One final thing we have to say,
To every one of you.
You’ve made us proud through all you’ve done,
And made us laugh lots too!
So as you move to AP2,
Remember all these features.
Keep on growing but don’t forget,
Your awesome TX teachers!
