Inter-House Maths at APS

17 June 2016

This week the 2016 KS3 Inter-house Maths competition concluded with the Maths relay activity.

Teams of 2 or 3 students from each house in years 7, 8 and 9 were competing against each other to gain the most points overall.

Last Monday, the puzzle and logic round took place, and additional points were available for solving a logic puzzle created by Trang, Joanne, Katie and Ashley in Year 10.

There was a great turnout for the relay race round and some very impressive results with teams finishing with time to spare. It was great to see the students collaborating and working together to solve these tricky problems!

The competition would not have been quite so good had it not been for the Year 10 students who created the questions both in this round and the puzzle and logic rounds, and who came and helped mark the relay round.

The results will be announced in the End of Year assembly next week, with mentions for the winning team in each year group, as well as the overall winning house!
