Pop Band Project

22 June 2016

This term Year 7 have been working on a pop band project...

Each student had the opportunity to learn some basic techniques on guitar, bass guitar, keyboard and drums and then formed a band within their class to rehearse together.

All the students have had 5 weeks to rehearse the song “Somebody I used to Know’ by Gotye. Last week all the groups recorded their version of the song ready for judging.

All year 7 worked really hard on this project and the  music rooms have been very busy over the last few weeks with groups constantly rehearsing.

The winners were:

7N  - Zim, Chaiti, Chloe, Qian Yi, Aston, Bao

7N’s winning performance had a real sense of style and commitment and the ensemble skills were fantastic.

Runners up were 7V - Jae Weon, James, Mel, Anh Vu, Min Anh, Anja.

3rd Place were 7S - Jeanette, Toby, Anh Khoi, Jenny, Danilo.

Congratulations to all of year 7 for their efforts and enthusiasm for this project.
