Chamber Choir & Orchestra Auditions 2016

01 September 2016

This week the APS Music Department have been holding auditions for this year's Chamber Choir and Chamber Orchestra. Over 100 students signed up and performed in front of the music teachers for a coveted position in one, or both, of these groups.

Each student who auditioned for this academic year, sang or played a piece of their choice, and between them, they have produced a really diverse range of musical genres. The music department have felt real privelege in spending every lunchtime and after school session this week listening to our talented students sing or play.

We are now really looking forward to getting started with rehearsals in the next few weeks. With a broad mix of musical interests to work with in both of these groups, we will be able to produce a wonderfully wide repertoire!

Congratulations to all who have been brave enough to take the risk to audition - we know how scary it is!
