One of the most anticipated events for An Phu Primary students during International Week is the Global Café. This is true, as well, for our Community Partners, who are invited each year to come to British International School HCMC and sample some delicious foods from around the world. This year, 100 children from four of our partners were welcomed by the parents and staff at BIS HCMC for an afternoon of food, fun, and entertainment.
Children from Binh An, Binh Tho, Binh Trieu, and Mai Am all enjoyed filling their plates with foods from Australia all the way to Vietnam! The parents tempted them with snacks and stickers, and there were smiling faces all around.
After all the stomachs were full, a few brave parents performed traditional dances from their home countries. There were performances from several countries, including Thailand, Ukraine, Spain, Mexico, and India. A couple of eager children from Binh An even got up to join in the dancing!
We would like to say a big THANK YOU to the parents for giving their time and energy to welcome the children from our Community Partners to the Global Café. It is an event that they look forward to each year, and they all left with full stomachs and smiling faces again this year!
