Primary Students Excited by Science & Technology

With the Secondary students away on trips this week, our Primary students from Year 3, 5 and 6 have been making full use of our Secondary Science Labs and Design Technology rooms. One of the students leaving the Science Lab was overheard saying to her friend ‘This is the best place in the world’, it’s always such a pleasure hosting the Primary student’s visits!
Read about their adventures in Science and Design Technology on our website.
Extra Curricular Activities (Clubs)

A reminder that there will not be any ECAs next week (Monday 23th January and Tuesday 24th January). The start date for all ECAs (paid and unpaid) will be Monday 6th February. Payment for all paid ECAs is due by Tuesday 24th January and payments may be made to the school cashier. Please make sure you have made payment by the deadline. Students who have not paid for their club will not be allowed to attend the first session.
Trips Week
Our students who are away on trips this week have been having a wonderful time diving, caving, rafting, hiking and building new friendships both with other students and during their community service visits. There was much excitement today as students began to return home. These trips also allow teaching staff the opportunity to build stronger working relationships with students and to help students showcase their leadership and teamworking skills.
Year 11 & 13 Exams
Our Year 11 & 13 students have also been having a busy week with their mock exams in full swing. These exams give students the opportunity to focus on areas of the curriculum which they may not be fully au fait with and help to build their exam techniques. Mock exams also help to build confidence for the final exams which take place in May. Well done to all Year 11 and 13 for getting through a tough week!
Seoul National University Visit 2017
We were delighted to host a visit from Seoul National University this week. There will be an information evening in Term 3 where we will solely focus on applications to Korean universities. For those that missed this week’s presentation by SNU, we will be able to share some of this information with you then. An invitation will be sent to all students and families closer to the time.
Tết Collection

Our Tết collection has been running from 9th January and continues until 13th February. Please help us make Tết 2017 extra special for the children of nine of our community partners by donating high quality items such as stationery, toys, rice and noodles to our collection. Items can be donated at the Community Services Office in room 113 on the first floor of the new building.
U19 SISAC City Championships 2017
For the third year in a row the U19 boys walked away with the SISAC City Championships, cementing their winning streak. Many hours of dedicated practice go into a win like this and my congratulations go to Mr Richard Soriano, our Basketball Coach, and the team on their hard work and win.
Josh Kazzi, Team Captain, gives us a run down on the match.
