Last Thursday, Marina from EAST (Endangered Asian Species Trust) came in to talk to Year 6 about the project that she helps run, the work they do and how we will be getting involved this year. As part of the new Year 6 residential to Cat Tien in March 2018, we will be incorporating a trip to the actual EAST centre where there will be some focus activities for the children. So this talk was the perfect opportunity to introduce the project (some children may know about it from Year 4), get the children thinking about what EAST is about and how we will be using it as a focus on the residential, and how we could help later in the year, e.g. fundraising.
