Get “A Piece of TX”
Have you ever noticed that big bicycle on the wall? Pretty awesome. And the paintings in the Year 6 corridor or the ones in the library? Amazing. They are a testimony of all TX life over the past 10 years. However, this collection might need a new home after the closing. Not all of those treasures will have a spot at the new campus. Ms Mary will start to make an inventory soon of all items available for auction. Teachers also have been asked to decide what they will keep. Items that will be left behind will be put into the live auction.
We’ll have a Google doc where you’ll be able to preview all items for auction. Also, if you notice anything and you wonder whether or not it will be added to the auction, please take a picture and forward it to Ms Mary at Mary.McAloon@bisvietnam.com so she knows there is an interest. I would say feel free to ask and show Ms Mary whatever you would like to see in the auction files as we may not have thought of everything which could be of interest to our families.
Live auctions are fun and the money raised will be used wisely for our community partners.
On Wednesday, parents met at La Fenêtre Soleil, an Indonesian restaurant. The food was served on banana leafs which amazed everyone around the table. It was typical from Indonesia. Eva introduced the parents to the dishes. It was also the opportunity to meet new parents and welcome them.
Parent’s Choir in a Christmas mood
Friday was the first rehearsal for the parent choir. It was time to turn the “Christmas” mood on. As usual Duyen has chosen a nice selection of songs. Next practice will be after the break.
This Thursday and Friday, India, and all Indians around the world are celebrating Diwali, the festival of lights. Three years ago, on this occasion, our lovely group of Indian Mums organised a morning coffee for TX parents to get to know more about this tradition. It was also the opportunity to dance, try on saris and eat delicious food. As TX’s closing approaches, each week, we’ll feature a “Souvenir” of our time. So please, share your memorable stories at TX with us and they will be added to the Parents’ Corner.

Have a well-deserved and relaxing break.
