Community mindedness shouldn’t stop with our students…

Community mindedness shouldn’t just stop with our students; it should be something rooted in all staff, students, parents and everyone in the community. As a parent and member of the community you can support in many different ways, depending on the time you have available.

Sunshine Volunteers runs separately to the school and our Community Projects, however it is a great group to join if you would like to be hands on in the community. To find out more information on the work of Sunshine Volunteers and how you can join, please email Ella Martin at ellaraj@hotmail.com.

The Community Projects at BIS focus on students spending their time and energy with different groups in the community. Although parents cannot help directly with our existing projects, there are opportunities to support our long term community partners by buying raffle tickets at the Christmas BISzaar, donating food, toys or stationery during the Tet collection or volunteering to help at events such as the Community Football Tournament.
