Boys Football - Match Report 16/02/17

16 February 2017

On Tuesday, the U14A Boys Football Team had their third friendly match of the season against ABC International School. After falling behind, did they have the strength of character to come back?

  • Boys Football at British International School HCMC - Match Reports 13/02/17

The starting line-up was Khanh in goal, Jon and Son at the back, Dylan on the left of midfield, Campbell on the right and Rafael in the middle with Yurii as the only striker. The pitch was much smaller than we are used to playing on and it really tested our skills as there was not much room to dribble the ball.

Campbell was our captain for the game and he led us well but despite great leadership and some good early pressure, we fell behind due to some sloppy marking. This woke us up and we scored 2 goals; Yurii striking the first, then after some intense attacking pressure, the ball was bundled into the goal by one of their own defenders.

We then conceded a second goal from a free kick, but despite that we were starting to play much better and by half time we had a 4 – 2 lead with goals from Seo Jun and Andy.

In the second half, Sam scored a fifth before Rafael claimed another 2 to give us a 7 – 2 victory. Oliver, Joseph and Ralf also had solid games as we showed what good strength we have in our squad.
