If you haven’t yet purchased your tickets to ‘Whatever the Weather’ which takes place at the Ben Thanh Theatre on 2 March there are still a few tickets available for purchase at the Secondary reception. Tickets cost VND100,000 each.

Juilliard Visit

Paul Murphy visits BIS HCMC

Welcome back to Paul Murphy, our Juilliard mentor, who visited this week together with his colleague Richard Manioa.  A very productive parent forum was held which enabled Paul to demonstrate the collaboration between Nord Anglia Education and the Juilliard School. Paul and Richard were also able to spend a few days observing our enhanced music curriculum in action.

Quiz night

Last Friday saw 15 teams of students, some with a teacher or parent joining them, compete at our very popular Quiz Night hosted by Quiz Master Ms Claire Easter. In a quiz which covers music, movies, items in the news and general knowledge the questions came thick and fast. A very competitive finish, much enjoyed by everyone. My thanks to the PTG who put so much work into hosting the event, and of course to Ms Easter who compiles the questions.

Football Boot Collection

Football Boot Collection BIS HCMC

If you have any used football boots which your children have outgrown, the An Phu Primary Campus is organising a collection of boots for some of our community service partners. Boots can be handed in at the Secondary reception or at the Community Services office on the first floor.

SISAC Cross Country City Champs!

British International School, HCMC, Cross Country City Championship Team

This week some of our students participated in the SISAC Cross Country Championships which took place at the Saigon Golf Course in District 7. Carl De Liedekerke Beaufort, Under 19 Boys Cross Country Captain, gives us an overview of the event. My warm congratulations go to all the participants who participated in this hot and very tough event. We were delighted to have some of our teams return with first and second placings in their age groups.
