School fête Day 8: The Busy Bees!
Last Sunday, Eva and Anne finished designing and creating the raffle tickets. Making them from scratch was not the first option, so plan B was needed. They’ve learnt a lot about online ticket generators, had some trials but decided to use word and excel to create the raffle tickets for the TX fete. Following the steps of a youtube video, the tickets were created.
(Yep, 4 computers...;)) )
Another setback on Monday delayed the printing however SuperEva, after the meeting, ran to the shop and by 2pm (in time for the first shift), the raffle tickets as well as the tokens were ready to be sold. Let’s see if our very first buyer, Mr Ian, wins the grand prize!
The first two teams selling sold 89 raffle tickets and 145 tokens. Well done!
As of Wednesday evening, the total sales were up to 4,210,000 VND for tokens and 4, 660,000 VND for raffle tickets. What an excellent start! Remember all proceeds will go to our TX community partners. Thank you for all who have already bought tickets and tokens. If you have not done so yet, remember, you can buy from 7.50am to 8.10am, 2.20pm to 2.40pm and 3.30pm to 3.55pm everyday.
We also have a few slots which need to be filled, please check the schedule online or in the school foyer:
On Tuesday morning, TX parents finalised the floor plans and defined the numbers of volunteers for the fête.
Please consider giving 1 to 2 hours of your time to run a stall. It's fun, it's a way to get to know your fellow parents and make your children proud. They love to see their parents involved in school.
Sign-up for the food corner and the craft/beauty salon (yep we’ll have a beauty salon!!!) are available at these two links;
The sign-up sheet for the games stalls, tombola and raffle will be set up this weekend.
Regarding the Tombola, we are still accepting donations of small, new and sealed items. Please bring these to the school foyer.
In the next newsletter, the full program of the fête will be revealed, but for now, remember that there’ll be a costume contest and we encourage you to come dressed up along with your child.
Have a lively weekend.
