TX at the Teeball Invitational

12 May 2017

Since Easter PE lessons have focused on Teeball for all of MP1 and 2. 24 students put their practice to the test on Wednesday in the city Teeball tournament. As well as the 24 students in our teams 6 TX students also represented the BIS FOBISIA teams who will travel to Shanghai to compete in the FOBISIA games on Wednesday.

  • U11 T-ball (1)-min

Teeball is a version of softball/baseball where the pitch of the ball is removed and students strike the ball from a tee. The pitch layout (1st,2nd, 3rd base etc. remain the same.)

An U10 (Y5) and U11 (Y6) tournament were competed for. Our Y5 team played excellently defeating ISSP and one of the BIS FOBISIA sides. A narrow defeat to BVIS meant that 3 teams finished on equal points for second place. To determine the 2nd place team all of the runs scored were totaled up. The Y5 TX team scored 2 runs less than BIS FOBISIA B and had to settle for 3rd place. Still a fantastic achievement.

Our U11 (Y6) side fared one place better. In an outstanding display including 2 perfecting fielding innings (where the team managed to get every opposition player out,) Y6 defeated ISSP, BVIS, BIS Fobisia B team to claim 2nd place.

Well done to all involved and thanks to Mr Richard for organizing.
