Mr Ian Battersby: Weekly Update 26/05/2017

26 May 2017

Fantastic, marvellous, wonderful, sensational, outstanding, superb - just some of the words that could be used to describe the performance put on this morning by our children in Milepost 1.

There were some very mean goblins who were making a nuisance of themselves in the Fairy Dell neighbourhood.  We all love a happy ending though, and the goblins eventually realised that if you want to be happy, you need to care for others around you.

Football City Championships

TX Football 1

I know some members of staff who were very happy with one football result on Wednesday evening (or early Thursday morning in Vietnam) this week, but for our children, the Europa League is nothing compared to the Ho Chi Minh City Championships.  With all our Year 6 children away on their residential trip, it fell to our Year 5 children to represent us.  To hear how they got on, in the pouring rain, please see Mr Ali’s report below:

Headteachers’ Coffee Morning

Whole School New Campus Architects Drawing

It was great to see so many parents join Mr Simon (headteacher of An Phu Primary), Ms Dee (deputy headteacher of An Phu Primary), Ms Mary and myself on Wednesday morning where we presented some updates regarding the amalgamation of the two primary campuses and developments to do with the curriculum and assessment.  A main part of the meeting was to provide an opportunity for parents to ask questions in preparation for follow-up meetings, which will take place on Tuesday 6th June at TX and then repeated on Wednesday 7th June at the An Phu Campus.

In case you were unable to attend the meeting or would like to look over the slides again, please click on the links below:

Schedule of Fees 2017-2018

Please see the message below from Mr Tim Deyes regarding the schedule of fees.

Dear Parents

The Schedule of Fees for the Academic Year 2017-2018 has now been published. A copy can be viewed and downloaded from the school web site.  Schedule of Fees 2017-2018

You will note that compared to last year there has been an average increase in the school Tuition Fees of 8%.

We have endeavoured to keep fee increase within a reasonable increment that will allow us to maintain the same high quality of educational provision in a growing school. We remain convinced that we represent good value for money and are comparable with similar schools in Vietnam and elsewhere in the region.

Have an excellent weekend,

Ian Battersby/ Head of Tu Xuong Campus
