A Surprise Farewell
Latifa thought she was having lunch with two other parents on Thursday but, there was actually a group of 19 parents waiting for her at the restaurant. It is never easy being the person leaving or even the people being left behind. However, the most important part is to cheer the person leaving for a new adventure and keep the sad feelings to ourselves. So, the parents tried to give Latifa positive vibes and energy only for her to start over in Brazil. This farewell was also the opportunity to see previous TX parents; it is always nice to see how the bonds created never fade away. We also welcomed a mum who started this year but had never had the possibility to join before.
So Latifa, Shahad, Ahad and Hamad, without forgetting Abdullah your husband/dad and Mohammad your little brother, we wish you all the best in your new country. It has been a pleasure to get to know you. We will keep wonderful memories from the activities we have shared such as, the Balinese dance, the singing, the international day and the meet ups. Don’t forget to send us some news after you settle down, we would love to know Brazil through your eyes…and remember, you have friends in Vietnam.
On behalf of the parent group, a huge thank you for your help, support and the lovely moments you have spent with us.
Maa Al Salama,
and have a safe trip back to Kuwait before making the big jump.

PDV Project: Almost Complete!
“Wow” came to my mind after visiting PDV along with the team who had worked on the renovation project. They have done a fantastic job and in my opinion, the team is ready to have their own renovation/design company! They have also worked within the budget! The classroom walls have been painted in blue and the bathrooms are now finished, as you can see in the pictures. This is a huge change, the playground floor has been installed and, by the end of next week, all new furniture, toys and equipment will be installed. The team has planned to go back on Monday to supervise the installation of the equipment. They also met Ms Clover on Thursday morning to inform her of some details and talk about the “opening ceremony”.
Ladies, a huge “thank you” for your time and dedication to the project.

…and they are singing again
Led by TX’s very own “Parent Musical Director”, Ms Duyen, the choir has started again. The first rehearsal was on Thursday (yep, it was a busy day for TX parents!) and it went very well. The song is so energetic and truly defines the spirit at TX. We would like to thank Mr Jon for giving this opportunity to parents to sing along with TX orchestra and choir during the summer concert.
It is never too late, so feel free to join to the next rehearsal on Thursday 1st June at 8am. The summer concert will be on Thursday 15th June.
Have a lovely weekend,
Anne on behalf of the Parent Group
