Parents’ Corner – 29/09/17

29 September 2017

Read time: 1 minute

With a final number of 447 books, we are ready for next week’s book swap!

On Thursday and Friday, the children will be able to exchange their tokens for books. The selection of books is so varied; from the Rainbow Magic series to the Geronimo Stilton series, with fiction and non-fiction, comic books, audio books, we are sure that everyone will be pleased.

This year we’ll also have some special story telling in foreign languages and two special story walls during the book swap.  There will be one wall to draw your favourite character on and the other to contribute towards the TX story!  Students, teachers, staff and parents will have the opportunity to add a sentence or a paragraph to the story and transform it into a real one.  Let us see how creative we all are together!

We would like to extend our gratitude to the An Phu Secondary (APS) students who donated more than 100 books! And thank you to our parents and sponsors who have donated more than 30 prizes for the mini draw at APS.

When An Phu Primary and An Phu Secondary met

Last Tuesday, Nicky and Christine met for the first time.  If you already know Nicky as a TX former parent and An Phu Primary (APP) coordinator, you might wonder who is Christine.  Well she is the new APS PTG leader. With the upcoming amalgamation, the PTGs will be working closer than ever to organise more events in the community.  After last week’s social night and the family social evening, the next event on the list will be the Christmas BISzaar this year. The APS PTG are making big changes and would like to include all campuses. We’ll update you as soon as we receive more information.

Have a lovely weekend,

Anne on behalf of the Parent Group.
