Cross Country Banner BIS HCMC

BIS secondary students crowned Cross Country City Champions 2018

On Tuesday 6th November, 36 secondary students travelled to Phu My Hung Golf Course in District 7 to take part in the SISAC Cross Country City Championships 2018.

Every single year in BIS was represented, with our U14 teams containing students from Year 7, 8 and 9 and our U19 teams being drawn from Year 10, 11, 12 and 13.

The U14 girls and boys teams both had to complete 3 laps of the course to cover 3.3km, whilst the U19s had to go one lap further for 4.4km. 

Special mentions go to the following students who achieved top 5 positions in their age categories:

  • 5th U14 Girls - Dieu Linh Kieu
  • 5th U14 Boys – Harry Park
  • 1st U19 Girls - Maika Pedersen
  • 1st U19 Boys – Sam Hendriks
  • 2nd U19 Boys – Carl De Liedekerke Beaufort
  • 3rd U19 Boys - Matt McKelvie

However, whether our runners finished 1st or 21st they were all trying their hardest to win points for the team. See the results of the team competition below.
