What is the event?
The event will take place from 6th-13th July in New York City. Students will participate in workshops, seminars and debates for the week. They will work together to deliver presentations to the UN’s High Level Political Forum. Students will also get the opportunity to see some of New York and potentially attend a Broadway show. More information on the High Level Political Forum can be found here: https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/hlpf
For a better understanding of exactly what the trip entails please read last year's coverage from the trip.
What are the costs?
All transfers and accommodation in New York, breakfast, lunch and most evening meals, and a tour of the United Nations Headquarters will be covered by NAE. Students will be responsible for return flights from our hub airport to New York (approximately 26,000,000VND), visas, travel insurance, three evening meals, optional excursions to a Broadway show and other attractions, and spending money. The final flight costing will be provided after our ambassadors have been selected.
Students will be accompanied by members of staff from NAE schools within the South East Asia Region, though not necessarily a member of BIS HCMC staff. Students and staff will meet at a regional hub airport, to travel to New York and arrive on Friday 6thth July. They will be greeted at JFK on arrival by staff from the Education Team, and will be taken to a hotel in central New York in the Midtown area. Students will be sharing triple rooms, with 3 same sex students per room.
